Is there some sort of cable you can buy that will let your Ipod play from any speaker system that has a headphone jack or other common jack?

Answer
If you have a component-style speaker system then you just need to go to an electronics store and buy a 3.5mm headphone to RCA chord - it had two "male" ends (one white, one red). You just plug the two ends into any place (phono or cd for example), set the stereo to it, and play the ipod.

If you have a shelf system (all-in-one set) then you need to look for inputs. These will usually be on the back of the stereo somewhere. They will most likely be RCA inputs, but occasionally they have headphone inputs. Get the right kind of chord and plug it in. To listen to the ipod, set your stereo to Aux input (short for auxiliary). If your shelf system does not have an Aux setting, then chances are you cannot play your ipod on it.

If you have a computer speaker system, then there should be a headphone chord included which you plug into your ipod and play from there. If you play and no sound is coming out of the speakers then try turning the volume on the ipod up.

What is the best Ipod speaker system?

I have a Ipod 30G, and I was wondering what is the best Ipod speaker system, for clear loud sound and crazy bass. I'm more concern about the bass?
