Good gaming computer?

Steve

I like to play computer games, but I really have no idea what a good gaming computer would be?
I would want a computer (desktop) that could play a game like shogun 2 total war on highest settings. Any ideas? Budget would be 900 dollars.

Thanks in advance.
Sooo many good answers, I'll have to do some research on your answers. Thank you all so much! I appreciate it. I'll leave it up to the community to pick the best answer.
