Ok so I got this surround sound system from my grandma and all it has on the back is a AV input and a 5.1 CH input and then the output for the smaller speakers and all my Hd Tv has is AV input so is there any way to
Hook it up?

Answer
Those Home Theater in a Box are not very flexible for adding or upgrading. You should have either an HDMI or Component cable and optical audio output which you would connect to the tv. Then with an optical audio cable connect one from the tv to the home theater in a box. If you do not have an optical audio cable input on the home theater then you would not be able to use it. The 5.1 input on your system is to connect a blu ray disc player to it only for the audio. Hope this will help you out.

How would i stretch speakers or expand them? To make a surrond sound?

what i mean streach and expand them is that how could i make the speakers farther apart right now i have 2 small speakers attached to a 6 inch subwoofer. I was woundering if i could like cut the speaker wires in half then reatche them with regular speaker wire to make them "Streach further". Also could i attach more speakers using normal speaker wire my plan was to make a surround sound system? Thanks i hope you can understand this.

Answer
In general - you can cut and add more wire for most speaker systems including computer speakers.

However: "Also could i attach more speakers using normal speaker wire"

No. It sounds like you have some computer speakers and these are not designed like normal audio gear. These speaker sets have a tiny (repeat TINY) amplifier to drive the speakers. They are designed to work with each other and you cannot swap out speakers or add other speakers to the wires.

More generic gear like a full-sized AV receiver and separate, monitor style speakers CAN be wired in series to go from 2 speakers to 4 or 6. The power plant is massive enough to handle this if it is done with care.

"my plan was to make a surround sound system? "

Sorry - just adding speakers simply gives you more speakers for the same sound. It will not give you separation (like dialog from the center, music from the left/rights). And you will not get the surround-sound effect when things from a DVD/BluRay try to whiz around the room.

Good 5.1 receivers have been around for over 15 years. They are cheap from your local Craigslist and often have older speakers being sold off. You are better off sinking $100-$300 into a used 5.1 system rather than hacking at your stereo computer speakers.

Hope this helps.
