Speakers work off and on even with headphones plugged in! Drivers updated and everything looks fine?

Lenovo Y410 with Windows Vista. After performing a system restore, I cannot get audio all the time. Even with headphones plugged in, no sound will play frequently. My volume is turned all the way up and my drivers are updated. Please help!

If you canât find the right Windows drivers manually I would recommend just getting a software program that can do it for you. There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it. Perform a free driver scan at:

I am using Yahoo Messenger and a Linksys Dual-Mode Cordless phone specifically configured for yahoo. My operating system is Vista. I would like to have my phone plugged in and be able to listen to the radio and music from the internet at the same time and on the same computer.

It's a feature they put in to prevent ear piercing audio feedback from screeching through the speakers. It must be using Windows to handle the sound because by itself windows can only handle one stream of sound output. I'm sure they could design a phone that wouldn't use Windows to handle the sound but it would make the phone more expensive to make.
