2002 Nissan Maxima SE Door-Speakers?

joeys91

I want to replace my factory door-speakers for my 2002 Nissan Maxima...Do any of you know what size they are?

Thanks

Answer
With Bose system.
Front speakers
Dash: Tweeter
Front Door: 6-3/4"

Rear speakers
Rear Door: 5-1/4"
Rear Deck: 8"

Without Bose system.
Front speakers
Front Door: 6-1/2"

Rear speakers
Rear Door: 6-1/2"

What are the best Bose speakers to build a 5.1 system with Samsung 7.1 receiver and Bose 301 speakers?

What compatible pieces like powered sub woofer, center and rear speakers? Are systems used systems on E-bay ok?
Which systems should I consider--Acoustimass, CineMate? Which one requires a center speaker? What will be most compatible and best bang for the buck?

Answer
There are no "best" Bose speakers for this, Bose only come in Worse and Worst. Also, the Acousti-mess stuff isn't really designed to work with other equipment. You would need to use a Bose bass module connected to your receiver and the cubes connected to it. The cubes are not designed to go much below about 250 Hz and not many if any receivers can set the "small speaker" crossover that high in frequency. Consider something else, almost anything else. Decent bookshelf size speakers can be crossed over at 80 ~ 100 Hz with no problem whereas the cubes can not. Then get a real subwoofer with a real woofer instead of the little 5.25" things in the Bose bass module.
