I don't need more than a couple speakers because it's going in a small room, and I need it to be able to hook up to a Sony Walkman.

Answer
Simply get yourself some good powered speakers and you will have a nice little system, just choose wisely. I would recommend if your on a budget a pair of Tannoy 501a's which are $179 each. Very natural and musical.

Hello, I am looking for a good speaker system that I can mount on walls around my room. I want a wireless speaker system that i can connect my iPhone or computer to and play music. I pretty much only listen to rap music so I want them to be nice quality. Thank you

Answer
First off when you say best that leaves the door wide open as its endless what you can spend on quality speakers. Second there are no good sounding wireless speakers not to mention very limited in choices.

Wireless speakers are not completely wireless anyway as they require power.

So with that said, your better off buying speakers that require speakerwire (passive)or line level and power (active) and discovering a way to get the appropriate wire to them, then your choices are limitless.

If your on a budget I would suggest getting a pair of Tannoy 501a active speakers, for under $400 they produce a very natural dynamic and musical sound for the money. They require line level and power as they are active speakers.

I've looked at several options: Focal, Bose, Energy, Polk. So far, I like the Focal Bird and Little bird speakers. I've got 14 ga. speaker wire in the walls of fairly large room with an HK A/V receiver. Any recommendations?

Answer
I would drop Bose from your list though (overpriced and mediocre at best).

Based on your suggestion of Focal speakers you appear to want some miniature speakers. That said, neither the bird nor little bird are surround speakers so I'm a little confused re your question specifying 5.1. You could cobble together a surround system but you would need an A/V receiver or surround amp to power them. See the 1st link for a review of the Focals. The other 2 links are to recommended surround systems ... some of which may meet your needs.

Personally I prefer speakers with a bit more size, and that opens up many possibilities. If you want small surround speakers Energy Take Classic is a reasonable choice, or consider Orb. If you want something bigger consider Klipsch, Distinctive Audio, Tannoy, B&W, Totem, ...

I would like to buy some speakers, what is the best brand or model to buy?

I want to buy a surround sound system that has a aux input. No price limit.

Answer
I would look at the Onkyo or Denon Recievers almost all have extra imputs..speakers goods buys (in the states any way) exist in the Energy Line and Aperion..other lines to look at include Paridgim speakers B& W...Sonus Faber...
In UK look at the Warferdale; Mordaunt Short and Tannoy brands of speakers.
