what is the best speaker system for my car?

nos Fidler

Hey guys/girls,
I am looking at a new speaker system for my car, but I have no idea of what to get.
My budget is around $2500, so i was looking at getting a 12" sub with amp, 2 6x9s (for the rear) and 2 6" speakers (for the front) with another amp to match. I want to keep it all the same brand.
I am more interested in quality then how loud it can go.
So what should i get? lol
Also what about soundstream or focals? i heard they are pretty good

Answer
Pyle PL63BL 6.5-Inch 360-Watt 3-Way Speakers quality and performance of these speakers is outstanding. The speaker itself is structurally sound and well manufactured. The performance is very good. The bass/midrange is powerful and tight (not muddled or soupy), the treble is very clear and crisp. For the price, these can't be beat. Unless you demand the best of the best, these are your speakers. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't be looking at these speakers anyway. I'm buying more for my other cars. They are great upgrades from factory speakers.

Answer
haha if you really wanna drop well over 3 grand on a car that looks like that when it's done thats your call but you cant just find full trunk molds online and if you can then the power to you

what you need to do is first decide how much you want to spend on the entire thing (trust me it adds up FAST)

then decide what you want to buy first (i'd suggest a head unit then an amp untill you blow factory speakers haha then you knida HAVE to get new speakers but thats just me)

then new speakers (again decide how much you wan't to spend and how loud you want them to be

then probably the subs.

and make sure neon is street legal where you live, it's illegal in a LOT of places trust me.

Where should I go to purchase and install a good car speaker system?

Brian

I have a Celia with it's stock speaker system. I am looking for better speakers as well as a good subwoofer. What store's should I look into visiting to help me with this process?

Thanks.

Answer
you need to go to sonicelectronix.com this site is the best. They gurantee you that they have the lowest price. Im actually ordering 2 Alpine SWR-1242D Type R's (12 inch) and i've looked around and they are the lowest price. This is a website retailer so they ship the stuff to you. I'm not sure where you live so not sure where to go to get them installed but i live in michigan and im going to get them installed at car tunes, they're local. I've heard best buy is a good place and bad place to get installation for car audio so idk u might have to do some research on that. Hope i helped good luck.

Is there any way I can hook up a computer speaker system to my car?

My brother has a z5300 Logitech speaker system w/ a pretty good bass. I was wondering if there was any way that I could hook that up to my car.

Answer
Of course you can, it is not going to sound that good though, like a subwoofer with an amplifier powering it would. Just attach the speaker wire to the speaker input, then play the music. I highly recommend using normal car speakers though.

Would my car support this amp and speaker system?

cheyne rob

I have just acquired a 97 Plymouth neon. NOT DOGDE. I have a 500watt speaker system to add to my cars existing standard system. Would I need a new battery/alternator to support a 2200watt amp for these speakers? Should I try finding a smaller amp? Any help would be awesome.

Answer
Your car will handle it fine the way it is. There may be a little light dimming if the amp does what is says it does but more than likley it doesn't. Most amps don't. So your good the way you are.

Can i connect a car subwoofer and amplifier to a PA speaker system?

I have a PA speaker system which is very loud and has great sound but has absolutely no bass. However, I also have a 15 Alpine Type R car subwoofer powered by a Kenwood 1800 Watt Mono car Amp. I would love to be able to connect this sub and amp to my PA system to create a great sound system for my house but I have no idea how to do it or if it is even possible... Can anybody help?

Answer
Yes, this can be done but things to consider is 1) How to power the car amp in your house? You could bring a cr battery in but that's only going to suppy the electrical current you need for a short time, then you will need to recharge it. My suggestion would be to invest in a "Regulated Power Suppy" to convert your house 120vac current to DC current like your car's electrical provides. Also to get the max power from you kenwood amp to you alpine car sub, you're going a power supply capable of delivering between 13.5 -14.4 volts DC which is the average range for most car electrical alternator voltage and what your car amp need to produce max power. ) Then ther's the matter of feeding the signal from your PA to you car amp. The safest way for this would be to use a "Line Level" signal say from the rec , or Record out jacks usually Red & White (RCA) type to the "Line In" Inputs of your car amp. After that it's just a matter of playing your music through your PA and adjusting the level on you kenwood to match your listening preference. Just remember when you increase the volume of the PA you may need to increase the level on your car amp as well since you are feeding a line level signal from the PA to the car amp. the PA volume control will not have and effect on the amp volume. In short what you want to do can indeed be done but there are easier ways to add the bass you want to you PA. Hope this helped you out.You may email me if you like at rudedog5876@gmail.com for some other options you want to consider.

Can the Audiophile speaker system be installed months after purchase?

That New G

I want to buy a Ford over the summer, one with the Audiophile 8-speaker system If the Audiophile isn't installed as an available feature with the car the day I buy it, can I ask to get it installed later at the dealership?

Answer
You would probably have to talk to the dealership about that.
