What is the best soundbar speaker system?

Vaishali

I donât really have a big room, but I need something that provides adequate sound. I need something that has minimal wires and is very effective for the cost. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Answer
One soundbar speaker system that i would recommend is the Coby DVD988 DVD Home Theater Soundbar System. It is a very good system that is well worth the price. It has many features and the system is sleek and good looking. Here are some good features that it includes:
* Slot-loading progressive scan DVD player, DVD,DVD R/RW, and JPEG compatible
* Plays digital media files directly from USB drives and SD/MMC cards
* Dolby Pro Logic surround sound technology
* Integrated digital AM/FM tuner with 40-station preset memory
* Optical digital, and analog AV outputs for home theater use
It is a great soundbar speaker system for just $114.95
Hope i helped

Philips HSB3280 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer or Coby CSP96 Home Theater Speaker System?

K

I am currently looking into buying a home theater system for my room, and at first I was going to look into a more powerful system but I realize I cannot have something too powerful because of the noise in my room with thin walls and neighbors nearby etc. However I was looking into both these Sound Systems (Philips Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Coby CSP96) and wasnt sure which to pick. The Soundbar with the woofer rlly interested me, but im not 100% sure bc i saw reviews of some ppl having difficulty or some negative comments. Likewise with the Coby CSP96. I was solely wondering which of these two is better?? I am aware Coby CSP96 is cheaper but in this case is irrelevant because with Dell I have Monetary credit that will lower the price of the Philips Significantly. Which will sound better, perform better, or overall be better???

Thank You And I Hope To Hear Your Response.
For Links on both products look up these Amazon links.

Coby CSP96 Home Theater Speaker System: http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CSP96-300-Watt-5-1-Channel-Theater/dp/B001U5U3HY

Philips HSB3280 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-HSB3280-audio-system-player/product-reviews/B002KEHNQ8/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Also I am looking for something not too expensive due to my budget which is why I made the comment about the Dell Credit for the soundbar. But Thank You anyway for the suggestion. Im just still unsure of which to choose. The fact that the Philips can be conttrolled (including volume) from Remote is tempting (The Coby cant be remote controlled)...but still I will see which is best. If anyone has an opinion I rlly appreciate answers. Thank You Again
ALSO just to note I have an HDTV Samsung, which sound system would go better with it? I saw one review about the Philips saying it has an HDMI port which sounds great but is it really the better buy? Thanks in advance again.

Answer
Both brands are not quality brands and not very reliable. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on sound bars. Sound bars don't quite sound the same as if you had a separate speakers all around you. Any separate system will sound better than any sound bar any day. You just have to lower the volume. The Onkyo HT-S5200 is a separate receiver and a set of 7.1 speaker system that is worth looking at for around $500. Hope this will help you out.

Do you know if you can plug your ipod into the Coby CSP96 300-Watt 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System?

kb23 :)

I'm looking into buying the Coby CSP96 300-Watt 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System and i want to use it as a surround sound system for my ipod. Does anyone know if it has an ipod dock or ipod port? PLEASE let me know! Thanx! :)

Answer
It does not have an ipod port but you can ( but not recommendable ) connect your ipod's headphone stereo output using a "mini jack (3.5mm jack ) to RCA ( stereo left and right )" cable to the CSP96's "stereo RCA left /right audio input" which are "LINE LEVEL" inputs ...but it won't play on all speakers... Again it's not recommendable but doable. Headphone output impedance is different from a line level input/output impedance. Headphone output level can damage line level input devices. Some players has mini jack output that can be used for headphones and as a line level out. Check with apple if your ipod's headphone output has the same impedance as "line level in/out"

You can also buy an ipod "dock connector to rca" cable ( you'll get line level out from ipod ). Then it can be connected to coby's Stereo L/R rca inputs. Again you will only get 2.1 surround sound ( left / right and sub )... ( your ipod should have a stereo surround sound encoder )... come to think of it... it's better to buy a 2.1 speaker system instead...or... a 5.1 speaker system with ipod dock ( more expensive )

Good Stereo/ Speakers?

My IPod Stereo broke and I am in need of a good one. I just don't know what to choose.

I have an IPod Touch, 4th generation, and the price can't be more than $50. I would also like it to come with a remote, I had that for my last one and it was amazing.

Please help. Thanks!

Answer
I love the Coby CX-CD377 Micro CD Stereo System if you talk about CD playing stereo sound systems, but for a radio it completely loses the contest to many other radio sets and even radio alarm clocks in the market. Nevertheless, since this is a CD player and its stereo is for that purpose, I rate the Coby CX-CD377 a 7 out of 10. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wants the radio feature more, but for those who want a slick CD player stereo, I would give a two thumbs-up go signal for you to get this.

Lost my manual. How do i hook up my surround sound to my television.?

coreyt0304

for christmas i got a coby 19 inch tft lcd flatscreen tv. I also got a coby 150 watt 5.1 channel home theater speaker system. I cant find the manual anywhere, so please can someone give me steps or walk me through how to hook it up please.

Answer
check this site out (link source) its got everytrhing you need to know. well its not that good but... it should help you figure it out. its pretty basic.
Connect the audio outputs of your television (if it has them) to the TV or Aux audio inputs on your AV receiver. This allows watching standard television programs through your broadcast, cable, or satellite connection and to be able to hear stereo or surround sound audio from programs that have it, through your home theater system

sorry if it sounds confusing to you.

Can I use my hdtv as a receiver for a speaker system?

Q. My tv has an HDMI input and red and white input. I need to know if I get a surround sound speaker set with a subwoofer, will I have to by a receiver alone or can I just use my tv? Please help.

Answer
Your TV will only put out a stereo signal, in order to get surround you need a Dolby processor of some kind the easiest and most reasonable is to get a Dolby receiver, here is one for $142 which will work quite well, you could also try a Coby surround system for as little as $99 but they are built kinda cheap and I would not recommend them....
