Bluetooth speakers?

creativeni

I have an imac G4 (15") and I was wondering if there is even such a thing as wireless speakers? I have the dlink bluetooth USB adapter and, if I can, I'd like to get some speakers that will be compatible with that because I am trying to eliminate as many cords/wires as I can from my system. Thanks!

Answer
You can buy wirless speakers, they exsist, but there rather pricy, and they eitehr use bluetooth, or just a reciever that comes with the speakers that plugs in usb or audio out, but depending on the speakers you buy they might or might not be compatible with your bluetooth setup

Can I make my own speaker system with Bluetooth?

MysteryGuy

I am thinking about getting a sound system for my office and was wanting to go Bluetooth. Would I be able to get a bunch of individual Bluetooth speakers and be able to stream music from my iPhone to them all at the same time, or would they have to be in a dedicates system? THanks for the help!

Answer
I think you can do that with a Sonos speaker system so it depends on what wireless speakers your talking about some you can and some you can't.....

What would be a good wireless speaker system?

Austin

I have two monitors set up but I'm tired of seeing the wires dangle. Now that im looking to upgrade, i want a nice set of wireless speakers. I've been trying to research good wireless options, where my tv could connect via Bluetooth, or have a wireless receiver that connects to the tv. Or even a more convenient option I haven't thought of. Any help would be appreciated!!

Answer
Wireless speakers still have wires they have to plug into the wall somehow for power; they need a transmitter box to transmit the signal what you are looking for does not exist the closest would be a HDTV that is capable of wireless audio transmission over wifi Most are wireless in but not out then an AV receiver or speakers that is able to pick up the wifi sound and amplify it ..Wireless speakers still need amplifiers some kind of power source either wall current or batteries that have to be changed or replaced... and signal....some of the better wireless speaker Systems come from Aperion; Sonos;Pionner and Grace digital....For HDTV you would need a transmitter that has an optical in port (which is an additional wire) I am not aware of any that do but there may be some newer models that do....

How do I set up a wireless speaker system in my apartment?

How do I set up a wireless speaker system in my apartment?
So I've got a desktop PC with wireless internet. I want to get speakers in my lounge/diner and in my bedroom that will play the music from my PC e.g. itunes/spotify.
Is it possible? Is it complicated?

Answer
You can buy wireless speakers which have a transmitter which plugs into e pc audio socket and receivers in the speakers.

Or you could buy a video sender, and ignore the picture part of it, plug the audio into the pc and plug some speakers Into the receiver end.

Or you could use Bluetooth, depending how far away the receiver needs to be (usually 10m or 30ft maximum). You can buy bluetooth speakers or an adapter (Belkin do one) that you can plug existing speakers into, If your PC doesn't have Bluetooth you can buy a USB Bluetooth adapter very cheaply.

On the other hand, all these are a bit expensive and diddly. It ought be easier to buy an iPod or other mp3 player and plug it into speakers in each room whe you need them.

I'm not sure that you'll be able to play to several sets of speakers at once whatever you do. Certainly not using Bluetooth.

What is the best portable speaker system for ipods and ipads under $100?

Derek

Im looking to take advantage of the cyber monday deals today, and am looking for a portable speaker system that has very good base and would allow me to plug my ipod or ipad in without having to connect the speakers to a computer. What is the very best speaker system under $100 (cyber monday deals) with a lot of bass and good sound quality? Note: I am not looking for headphones

Answer
Jawbone Jambox wireless bluetooth speaker can be had for $119 on Amazon.com
I would think for the money Jawbone would be hard to beat. As you know you pay for bass, whatever you get will not raise eyebrows. A far better option would be to purchase a pair of Dayton Audio B652 bookshelf speakers for $43.83 ass to it LP-2020A Lepai Tripath Class-T Hi Fi Audio Mini Amp with power supply for $15.69. I assure you this would be the far better sounding set up under $100 anyone can imagine with money to spare. You may have to get a few cables for everything to come together but you would still be within your $100 budget. It will put a smile on your face every time you hear it.

Enjoy

I haven't bought a TV or speakers, but I'm going to want to transmit most of the regular cable/satalite programing, movies, audio through my computer into the TV and separate speaker system. Do they make Bluetooth TV sets and Bluetooth speaker systems, and even if they did would I be able to transmit from my computer to both or just one? What other wireless options are available to me the only cord I want attached to my TV is the power and wireless reviecer and same with my stereo system. How do I do it?

Answer
A company called TERK (a division of Audiovox.com) sells audio/video transmitter/receivers. Expensive.
In a way it me less expensive to have a second satellite receiver.

What is a good portable speaker system for mobile phones?

Jim

I have the samsung GS3 and my gf has an iphone, and i am looking for a "bose-like" speaker system that can play both through wireless or bluetooth means.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated but i would like to keep the price down to a reasonable amount. <2-hundo.

i know bose can be pretty expensive for what they offer.

Answer
"bose-like" does that mean you want something that is overpriced junk?

All kidding aside. If you are after the best sound quality get a good set of speakers (preferably with a built in Amp). Then connect it to a wireless or bluetooth streaming module.

For the speakers I'd recommend AudioEngine A2 or A5s.

For streaming I'd get an Airport Extreme for your GFs iPhone. If you want bluetooth get one of these
