Good gaming computer?

I like to play computer games, but I really have no idea what a good gaming computer would be?
I would want a computer (desktop) that could play a game like shogun 2 total war on highest settings. Any ideas? Budget would be 900 dollars.

thanks for the help so far guys, but I read some reviews on newegg.com and people said they were playing games like call of duty 5 with this motherboard... maybe they were using a different video card other than the onboard video??? Nevertheless, I guess I need one... thanks guys

Looks like a very basic system.What are you planning on using it for? Where is the video card? Onboard graphics is fine, but can be limiting even if you are not using it for games. Don't forget the OS.

I want to know if this stuff is ok to use with each other like it says can't use 1066 memery unless u have a am2+cpu. well do have to have a surtin kind of am2 cpu T.T idk i need help. also wil the power supply be enoughf. And also if u know where i could find a wireless adpter cause i can't use an ethernet cord sadly. also where could i find these part cheap. You need AM2+ or AM3 to run DDR2-1066, otherwise you will have to run 800. Also you're better off with 4GB RAM.

If you want 1066MHz then get an Athlon II X2 250, which is $2 cheaper than the 6000+. This should also outperform your 6000+ because of the newer K10 architecture, despite a slightly slower clock.

The power supply is a fairly poor quality one, and poor quality PSUs can damage components. Buy a decent unit from Corsair, Antec, or PC Power and Cooling.
