which 2.1 speaker system should i purchase..? (under £50)?

i have considered:

sony d210 (really good reviews however a small fraction complain of no 'sweet spot' and missing frequencies)

logitech z323 (mostly good reviews, however a few people seem to think that the sound quality is lacking)

logitech x-210 (all great reviews, however 2 friends have had these and they have not lasted past a year. also they seem a bit cheapo and flimsy. probably a no)

logitech x-230 (i would have gone for these straight away, they are exactly what im looking for! however i do not trust that they will last much longer than the above, as they are the same but with dual speakers on each sattelite, also no-where stocks them due to them being discontinued...)

altec lansing expressionist bass (quirky, but not for me, too bulky, stupid design etc)


i want a speaker system, that can go LOUD(ish) without distortion, that can pump heavy bass, have really good sound quality, last me a good while, and cost no more than £50

i dont want to buy from ebay, or sources that i have not heard of (like 80% of the contents of amazon)

i listen to everything from death metal to trance. they will be hooked up to my hp pavillion dv7 laptop.

Not realistic for the budget. Look for used speakers. Altec is a more serious brand

I want to buy somekind of a portable speaker system, but i dont know which one to get. I have the option of the shox solo. Im worried about the shox though cause i had my maxis for a year and they broken so im worried about the shox. On the other hand i've got the Logitech X 210 2.1 or the Logitech Z323 speakers, these are both the logitech systems with the subwoofer and 2 speakers, but i cant decide. They all cost about R400 so price is okay, but the logitechs need an electricity supply, so there not very portable. COuld you please help me decide what to get (out of the three items), or if you have an even better system, please tell me about it

ignore the extra parts such as the speakers as well as the price, its just an estimate, i just need an opinion on the MATX pc case as well as the internal parts and if it'll go well together.

thats a cool lookin case, it sounds like a good pc, and it all seems to go well together, I would however reccomend a biger HDD or another spare one, plys the 500W psu seems sufficient.

They are prety much the same so it really down to persona preference, but if it were me id go for the X-210 just because they are of a better quality in terms of sound and the psychical speakers, and because of the RMS wattage they should be a little more powerful and also they have a greater frequency response range.
