Coby CS-MP77 75-Watt High Performance MP3 Speaker System?

Sefket

I want to know if the Coby CS-MP77 75-Watt High Performance MP3 Speaker System sounds like a movie theater sound system. Basically, I want to know if it feels like you're at the movies watching a movie.

Answer
Well, personally I don't care for the sound systems in most theaters. But these things are mislabeled. They certainly are not high performance. So the answer is: No. Even the sound system in the worst theater will outperform these things.

I'm looking at buying speakers for my ipod but how many watts do I want?

I'm looking at buying the "coby 2.1 speaker system with subwoofer" for use with my ipod and laptop. However they sell that type of speaker 50, 75, and 100 Watts.
How many do I want?
Is there a difference?

Which speakers are better?

Nice Guy :

I want to know which speakers are better i want the once with better bass and can i connect both of them to a ipod and or an mp3....

Cyber Acoustics Subwoofer Satellite System (CA-3602)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0027VT6V4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

and

Coby CS-MP77 75-Watt High Performance MP3 Speaker System
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P1D7O0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Answer
I'm going to have to say the Cyber Acoustics. Their page doesn't really have enough technical info to make a fair comparison. But it does have the Cyber Acoustic at full retail of 55 bucks on sale for $18 less. "you get what you pay for" comes into play here. It looks like Cyber is a pound heavier, and the satellite speakers are 2", not "micro drivers". A larger diameter driver easily gives you more sound with less effort. I think it looks better, too. But we don't know the wattage rating of Cyber. A pound more, retail $55 vs. $28, larger diameter drivers in the satellite. Cyber Acoustics. Oh yeah, and a higher star rating, too!

Best surround sound with mp3 player compatibility?

superstace

I have a smaller living room but i would like at least two speakers and a subwoofer. I have a samsung focus phone and need the surround sound to have a 3.5m jack so I can use my music off my phone through the surround sound. Please let me know the most reasonably priced one out there!!! I'm on a very tight budget.
I would like a legitimate home theater/surround sound system. I want to be able to hook my tv up to it or hook my mp3 player up to it so listen to music.

Answer
Well this one is good and very cheap:
http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CS-MP77-75-Watt-Performance-Speaker/dp/B000P1D7O0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1311870908&sr=8-1
You would also need 2 of these aux cables, which are incredibly cheap:
http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-AUD-1100-06-6-Feet-Stereo/dp/B000SE6IV8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311871217&sr=1-1

But that one isnt really "surround sound". Do you want surround sound or do you just want speakers?

http://www.amazon.com/RCA-RT151-Home-Theater-System/dp/B002PY7H3M/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311871739&sr=1-1

I know these above would work, but they are not very high watts

This one below is pretty high watts but I did a lot of research for you and found that they aren't "truly" surround sound unless you have a receiver. That owuld cost you about another 100 bucks. So i would reccomend the last one. its 300 watts, compared to 80 from the one above it.

Can I plug my ipod into a...?

Q. Can I plug my Ipod into a Coby CS-MP77 75-Watt High Performance MP3 Speaker System? I want to buy them but I'm not sure if i can plug my Ipod onto them to listen to music.

Answer
According to this: http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=166&pcat_id=2006

it has a 3.5mm stereo plug so you will be able to plug the speakers into your headphone socket and play music from it that way. You however cannot dock your Ipod like you would on some Ipod-specific speakers (at least theres no mention of a dock anyways).

Still the option of plugging it in via headphone socket is much better since you can also plug in your computer/ phone/ other systems as well.

Hope this helps.

Which surround sound system should I buy for my PS3?

Jake

I'm on a very low budget and want to buy something for under $150. Should I get the Playstation Surround Sound Bar or the Cody CSP96 5.1 surround sound for $50? The link for it on Amazon is here:

http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CSP96-300-Watt-5-1-Channel-Theater/dp/B001U5U3HY

Answer
I would consider Logitech Surround Sound Speakers Z506 (980-000430)

Multiple inputs make it easy to connect your PC, game console, iPod, DVD player and more
Rich 3D stereo in 5.1 surround sound, even from 2-channel stereo sources
75 watts (RMS) of balanced power and room-filling sound
Ported down-firing subwoofer pumps out deep, clean, booming bass
On-speaker bass control lets you easily dial the bass level up or down

PC Subwoofer compatability?

Jaime

I own Logitech X-140 speakers. I would like to purchase a subwoofer for my PC but i don't want to have to replace the speakers I already have. If I were to purchase a PC subwoofer (which they generally come with speakers of their own) would I still be able to use my speakers I own now?
here are some of the sub-sets I have been looking at :
http://www.amazon.com/Cyber-Acoustics-Subwoofer-Satellite-CA-3602/dp/B0027VT6V4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303685129&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/Coby-CS-MP77-75-Watt-Performance-Speaker/dp/B000P1D7O0/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1303685151&sr=1-4
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-LS21-Stereo-Speaker-System/dp/B0015C30J0/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1303685151&sr=1-9

Answer
if they cannot be hooked directly up to the sub then you can always buy splitters
