I am getting married next year and I am looking for some way to hook up speakers to my laptop for the music at the reception. Have any of you rented speakers for such a purpose or bought speakers for such a purpose? Any recommendations? Thanks.

Laptop usually sucks at playing music. For earphones it may be okay but for playing music at wedding you need real PA system that can take digital signals. Don't screw up wedding you may only have one in your life and your wife will remember it always! Just hire a pro or have a friend who has done it b4

What is the average cost to install a 4 speaker stereo system in a car?

I want to have a stereo system installed in my car, two on the front doors, two in the back window deck, with reciever and booster. About what will that cost on average ?

It depends how finicky you are on the sound you are after.
If you go to an audio shop and ask for a package, alot of places will hook you up with something for cheap. I got four pioneer speakers for $120 simply because they were the old model and I asked nicely.
The cost of getting them installed depends on if you know anybody. Installing speakers is a simple job which requires a few tools and a bit of handy know how. However, if you need to install more wiring (if there aren't speakers there already) or if the wiring is old and needs replacing, it would probably be worth hiring someone to do it.
A rought estimate of how much it would cost would be no more than $100. It sounds like a lot, but if you get them installed profesionally you are guaranteed that they will work and that if they make any inciscions in your car that they will be done well and neat.
