What are the best MAC compatible speakers out there, right now?

I need new speakers for my computer!
Now I'm confused...when I got the MAC, my PC speakers wouldn't work with it and I had to buy new ones. When I look up speakers' technical details, they say "PC" speakers or "compatible with Macintosh". Why is that?!?!

There's no such thing as "Mac compatible" speakers. Speakers are speakers, and any will work, as the audio jacks are standardized.

Logitech and Klipsch both make good 2.1 speaker systems.
